Permanent exhibition “Life of the Harju County” presents the versatile history of the county from antiquity to the present day and takes visitors in the midst of the everyday life and people of Harju County throughout the history. Among other things, it will be shown how telephone calls were made before the introduction of mobile phones; what the huge copper kettle from Padise monastery was later used for; and what is a spirits torpedo. The exhibition starts on the first floor in the lobby, and continues on the second floor.
The permanent display Life in Harju can be toured with an audio guide (English, German, Finnish, Russian). Devices are for hire at the museum’s ticket shop.
